-11 years and 14 years as licensed active cosmetologist.
Why am I being asked for a credit card number or deposit?
-Untimely cancellation and no-shows are costly. Your credit card number or deposit, in some cases services as security, just as it would for hotel reservation. charges to your card are easily avoided by honoring the CANCELLATION POLICY.
Do you take clients from out of state?
-Yes, absolutely.
Is there a Waitlist?
-No “Waitlist”. Instead request an appointment to be service.
How does “Request Appointment” works?
-Simple! Review the site to make sure we are right fit for each other. Click on “BOOK RESERVATION” then click on “REQUEST CONSULTATION” fill out form and allow time to respond to you via email with a BOOKING link. policy page.
How old should a child be to get Tinylocs?
-We recommend that a child is at least 7 years old.
Do you teach self retightening?
-We currently do not offer this service.
Can I get installation without a consultation?
-No, Consultation is a must. Video call Consultation is available.
Do you give starter kit?
-Yes! every install client receive beautiful Tinylocs Box with my favorite essentials for your new locs.
Do you add extensions to Tinylocs?
-No, we do not provide this service.
How long does my hair have to be to get install?
-At least 4 inches of natural hair. If hair is previously relaxed then at least 3 to 4 inches of natural hair at the scalp.
Can Tinylocs be taken out?
-Yes, Tinylocs can be taken out. However, it is time consuming but certainly possible. We do not provide this service at this time.
Can I color my hair after install?
-When considering in coloring your hair it’s best to color before your installation. Otherwise, you may have to wait until you are through with the setting phase, that time frame varies from person to person. but generally between 9 to about 18 months in some case more. Depending on what kind of color work you are interested in there can be an exception to this rule. But you must first communicate with your consultant and definitely have an experienced license Cosmetologist/Colorist provides you color service.
How should I prepared my hair for Consultation?
-Hair should be completely out of any current style for example braids, twist, updo etc. Hair must be freshly shampoo, lightly blow dry with no add product to the hair what so ever. for example, no oil, conditioner etc.
Can my hair be style after install?
-We do give a complimentary style after your installation if time allows.
How long is installation?
-It’s hard to predict how long installation takes. Because the amount of time it take depend on many factors. For example, how long the hair is, how coarse the hair is, how large the head is, the overall health of the hair, how long Both the client and Consultant can stay etc. Based on this installation is scheduled for 1 to 3 days maximum. And can take between 12 to 32 hrs.
How should I prepared my hair for installation?
– On the day of your installation hair should be freshly shampooed free of any products. Hair should be stretch out by lightly blown dried or by putting it in large cornrows or twists.
How long is consultation?
-Consultation is 30mins to 1 hour.
When will my hair lock?
-Reaching “matured” stage varies. There are many thing that factors into this. For example, hair texture, how well the client is following maintenance instructions (shampooing, staying way from certain products etc.) how well are they respecting retightening schedule and etc. If all is well it may take some people 10 months and other up to 24 months. but generally speaking, usually a year or year and half for most people.
When I trim my locks, will it unravel?
-Yes, just a little bit. if hair is matured and fully locked it will unravel about quarter of an inch or so. This is normal and perfectly ok it will lock back on its own. Although, if unraveling continues it’s a sign that you should ease up on conditioning for a moment until nature takes its Cours with the ends. Hair that is not fully matured or settle yet should hold off on trim to avoid most of the locks coming out.
Can I wear wig over my locs?
-You can. However, We do not advised nor promote that idea. Excessively wearing wig over your locs can result in breakage. Also, we are firm believer that your Tinylocs is a journey worth fully embracing. Accepting every part of the journey as your new beginning will make all the difference further down the line especially once you reach the desire stage you’ve been longing for. Wearing wigs and braids over your locks over time will eventually deteriorate the integrity of your locks.
How often should I be getting re-tightening?
-At least every 4 to 5 weeks, keep in mind that the longer you go beyond 4 to 5 weeks the longer the retightening session may take and this will reflect on the sitting time and price.
What happens if I don’t regularly maintain my Tinylocs?
-Not regularly maintaining your locs will cause hair thinning, breakage, resulting in hair lost. it will also increase retightening session, resulting in more sitting time to complete the job which in return will cost you more money.
